The Boca Grande Community Planning Panel is pleased to report that the Lee County Board of County Commissioners has approved the Boca Grande Community Plan. The plan has been adopted into the Lee County Comprehensive Plan through an amendment and is now law.

In September, the Community Planning Panel received word that the final draft of the plan. which had been reviewed at the BOCC transmittal hearing in June, was approved at the state level by the State of Florida Department of Community Affairs. In fact, the plan was approved with no objections, recommendations nor comments.
